Pelvic health physical therapy focuses on musculoskeletal dysfunctions within the pelvis, hips, abdomen and the adjacent joints. Treatment may also include working to restore posture, general strengthening of core and hips, relaxation and down-training techniques, manual therapies to the external and internal muscles including myofascial release, scar tissue mobilization, visceral mobilization and much more. The goal of pelvic physical therapy is to restore the length, function and activation of these muscles in a more optimal fashion. This will allow for more unrestricted participation in all of life’s activities – including jumping on trampolines.

Kim earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2011 from Idaho State University. She first found her interest in pelvic health through her own personal journey and began her pelvic health education over 5 years ago, though hasn’t been able to fully integrate these skills into her practice until joining TVPH in January of 2023. Dr. Kim has been a certified Pilates instructor since 2003, and often integrates that background into her treatment practices.

When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll often find Dr. Kim hiking, tapping into her creative side to draw or paint, and teaching private Pilates classes.

Sarah received her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science in 2019 from Idaho State University. She then went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2023 from South College in Knoxville, TN. As a multi-sport athlete, Sarah gained her interest in physical therapy after experiencing injuries herself and witnessing the positive impact physical therapists had on the lives of her family and friends. The respect she gained for these physical therapists inspired her to help others return to the activities they love as well. Sarah is passionate about providing care to all individuals, and she has additional training in manual therapy, management of older adults and pelvic floor therapy.
